My name is Jon. I live in Bend, Oregon USA and I’m a professional photographer and freelance graphic designer. I have over 13 years experience as a photographer and 9 years as a designer. I am fluent in Adobe, Photshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign amongst other things. I exclusively shoot Nikon, but will sit on the fence in regards to comments about gear. If you ask me what to get though, I’m going to point you towards Nikon. (because it IS the best
I already have quite a few lighting tutorials created. I’m working on a game plan in regards on how this is going to be used on this site though.
If you need any advise in regards to photography, design, or the business of either. Post a thread and ask! I’ll be happy to answer your questions.

NOTE:
Please forgive the dust on my site. I am migrating over from an old site. I’ll have everything smoothed out within a few weeks.
I’m not a pro photographer, as far from it as you can get actually. I need to get a good digital camera. I want to start taking some pics of my own to use as stock photography for my graphics design business. And I also need something convenient enough to use as a family snapshot type camera. I have a soon to be three-year-old son that moves so fast I can’t find a camera that captures him without getting blurred. I literally do not have one picture of him since he was old enough to be more than a lump that isn’t blurred. Any suggestions on something reasonably priced that would suit my needs would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Blayde,
Glad you are back. I thought you’re gone. As you can see we finally ready to take off. We are still only driving on the take off lane while our engines are having hickups, the crew is running around looking for their seats and we are waiting for clearance from watch tower, but at least we are not on parking lot any more and that’s encouraging.

Want to spend
Where you will take most of your pictures
Size requirements
Want to learn about cameras (or not learn about them )
