Please. Kick this around a bit. May be someone can come up with some good idea.
TopSites. This part of the website is hugely unexplored. I’ve seen the damn thing becoming major mover for the website popularity (http://www.progenic.com/top100/ is the best examle of TopSites implementation in the security world). I never backed up my idea with functionality properly. TopSites is the last thing that somehow can move the forum but if you know of some idea that TopSites can help forum, then throw it at me.
Is there a way for top sites to be categorized so a post in the forums can be scanned for content then give recommendations though top-sties?
i.e. {insertscreennamehere} posts a thread like this:
“Hey everyone, I have a question about how to straighten my image in photshop.
That jonbrittphoto is a pretty cool dude too!”

WHen this post is published, it takes the user to another screen that has all the top posts that match the keywords… Or a big button that says “Do you want to see the top rated sites that matched your post content? (or something less wordy)
Make sure you have a EASY way to bypass this page (big ol utton) so ppl don’t feel that they are being forced into another site. That’s a huge turnoff for me.
nice idea, i shouldnt be too difficult, if there was a way to tag a topsite with certain words, then a search query result should work (im pulling this all out of you know where, i dont know php or vb enough to say its possible, but i think it is )
