We need some promotial programm for tutorial posters. Let’s say if you post 10 answers to the user questions your tutorial will be sticky on the front page in the top row for one week (I need ideas).

10 posts seem like so little to me for a sticky. Depending on the ammout of hits on a thread, a sticky can be a pretty valuable thing.
How about make it a longer run, like most posts for a 3 month period gets an amazon gift card for X dollars or 6 mo. xx dollars..

I don’t exactly know how it happens, but you can also gain corporate sponsership and get discounts for “gold” members or things like that..

Just thinking out loud.

i’d agree too, most people can answer the most basic questions posed, and not everyone has tuts submitted, i’d say if a member solves a really really mind bender for someone, that should deserve a reward, or 25 good posts minimum.

Corporate sponsorship is good, but you need a good and well proven record for amazon and the like to pick up, i dont know the current status, but smaller sponsor places do go around looking for this sort of thing, if google knows you, chances are they will too

I definitely like the sticky idea, but like Blayde said, not everyone has tuts submitted.  Perhaps something like top poster for the month gets to advertise their site or tutorial on the home page.  Then like a grand prize of a gift card or something for the top poster for a 3 month span.  If you make the reward too long term people loose interest in it.  To me, it would be worth chatting away for a month for some free advertising, and after I’ve put in my month to earn the advertising, hopefully I’d be hooked enough to say, well.. that month wasn’t too bad, let’s try for the gift card.  If you do it as the person with the most posts, that gets people to check back and stay interested as well, versus a set number of posts.  They would have to pay attention to other users a bit more.
