Hey everyone,

This is unsanctioned and could quite possibly be tossed in the trash before it gets off the ground. I’ve always been told though, “It’s easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission”

I propose to create a colaborative effort to create a new candy shell for tut-index that it’s deserving of. After all, it’s all about graphics here, so I feel that the shell of this site should be nothing short of fantastic.

Payment.. Ownership in this site and knowing what we create will potentially generate big hits on statcounters with us at the ground level!  Being a house pro on a big site can do WONDERS for your bizness! I personally know mediocre photographers that have made it big time since they are part of the founding team in the forums they belong to.

Unless I hear otherwise about this..

Let’s start with color scheme ideas. I’m thinking up some now, but have just come up with this idea and am about at the same place you are with it. I like dark contrasty colors on tut sites though.

I’ve always liked http://www.photoshopsupport.com/ but navigation on there is tedious at best.

After the color scheme, were gonna tackle the logo!

Don’t everyone get up at once.

I’d also like to add that I will be doing the heavy lifting on this entire project. I’d like support to just brainstorm and honest feedback from professionals and ppl that just like forums like these?

So any takers on color schemes? With a cherry on top?

Ok.. color schemes… let’s see…

Black and White is always classy, but not all that fun.  It grabs your attention though.  Perhaps black and white with another more vibrant color like blue, green or yellow tossed into the mix…

Was thinking more along the line of hex values so I could create a scheme.
There are hundreds of yellows alone.

I’m a bit of a color geek so just tell me if I’m being a PITA!

Yeah yeah… lol.. I’m thinking thinking color schemes right now… hex values are for when you get a general idea in your head and you’re narrowing down the precise shade.  I’m thinking black, white and one primary color… like the ones you got in a box of crayons as a kid.. not the big box, the little box with like 6 or 8 crayons in it.
